Love and Romance Ideas from a Lifestyle Concierge

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. Though most shoppers will purchase their gifts online for Valentine’s Day, many are still shopping in person, including shopping at local businesses and florists. Many are looking for non-traditional ideas. We have a few tips for you as you prepare for the perfect Valentine’s Day!

Non-traditional Gifts

While keeping your partner’s taste and love language in mind, instead of getting a bouquet of roses, consider a potted plant or assortment of flowers that your partner likes. Or instead of a box of chocolates, consider baking a treat with your partner. Who knows, baking together might be even more pleasurable than you anticipated.

Dinner in With a Private Chef

Take advantage of celebrating at home or at a nearby restaurant on Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking to stay in but still want to wine and dine your Valentine, consider bringing a private chef into your home for the evening, or preparing a luxurious meal at home for that more personalized and sometimes lower-budget, night in. Don’t forget some romantic-themed decorations!

Become Coffee Shop Lovers

My husband and I go together like coffee beans and Connect4! Our first date was at Starbucks and we celebrate our first date anniversary at Starbucks every year. Unsurprisingly, it turns out that one in three dates take place at a coffee shop, so why shouldn’t we consider celebrating Valentine’s Day. This could also be the perfect Valentine’s morning or day date while the kids are in school.

Get back to Nature

If you are in colder climates or can take a day trip, consider hitting the slopes or ice skating rink. For those in unseasonal warm locations, visit your nearby State or National Parks for a hike or bike ride followed by a picnic.
